MRE is a privately owned company founded in 2000 our mission is to provide specialized transportaion services. We transport items requiring specialized skills and equipment. MRE currently has three distinct business units:

- MRE Marine Transport Services
MRE Marine is the newest and fastest growing of the MRE family of companies. Our mission is to provide transportation for boats up to 50' in length and 24,000 lbs. in weight. To do this we place boats onto our triple axle custom trailer using our specialized hydraulic lift if the boat is less than 30'. Larger boats require using a larger lift on site at the marina. Boats between 30' and 36' are towed using our medium duty C4500 truck while smaller boats are towed using our smaller more fuel efficient 2500 or 3500 series diesel trucks. This strategy offers our customers a more cost effective solution. With today's soaring fuel prices the traditional semi trucks and trailers burn twice the fuel and unnecessarily increase your cost.

- MRE Expedited Freight
MRE Transportation utilizes energy efficient Duramax diesel powered trucks pulling 28' gooseneck trailers with load capacities up to 14,000#. We deliver industrial materials for customers like EMJ of Blaine, Minnesota for their local customers as well as surrounding states.  This year, we are on track to deliver over a  million pounds of cargo. We maintain a close working relationship with Orrock Direct Industrial Courier, a local Elk River firm. We are interested in the role that trucks burning both bio-diesel and LPG will have on our future, and plan to incorporate alternative fuels into our fleet as they become cost effective to do so.

 - MRE Snow and Ice Management
MRE Snow and Ice Management maintains exclusive contracts with companies like Vantage Point Partners of Rogers, Minnesota as well as area hospitals, senior care centers, 24hr convenience stores, retail malls and manufacturing facilities like Faribault Foods of Elk River. In 2007, we cleared over 3M cubic feet of snow last year, an amount that would cover a regulation football field in over 60 feet of snow.
We handle all aspects of Snow and Ice Management, including snow plowing, lot sanding, sidewalk shoveling / de-icing, and offsite snow removal.  We employ seasonal equipment operators and provide a growing number of subcontract relationships with local dump truck operators for snow removal, as well as providing many man hours of temporary labor for sidewalk shoveling and de-icing.
